Facilities and Equipment I maintain a safe environment with appropriate control measures, promoting healthy living and hygiene. I also promote an environment that considers the needs of the individual and celebrates diversity. All toys, activities and equipment are maintained in line with these principles. I have a wide variety of toys and games covering all ages and abilities. The majority of these are contained in a bright and friendly 'play room'. I also have a 'book corner' with extensive collection of books again covering the full spectrum of ages, requirements and interests. A computer is available for the children and I subscribe to educational websites. In addition I have interactive equipment that attaches to the computer for younger children. Expression through art is incredibly important and I continually hold a good stock of arts and craft materials. We mark special occasions and events by producing 'something special' to take home. For days when the weather is suitable, I have a range of outdoor toys, activities and games and the children can play in my enclosed, secure back garden. |
